A Speech On My Life - 1572 Words

At this moment in my life I see myself as a young woman who wants to accomplish my goals in completing my career and becoming a mentor to kids around me. For instance, one of the values I have that my parents have instructed me was to be a part of an influence in someone else s live. My parents have always told me to have a goal to influence others to make a right decision or help them out. Therefore, my parents have grown in me a caring person to others and help others around me. Therefore, my interest right now is to help kids with their problems and help them grow in their education. This is the reason why I have decided to become a Speech Pathologist and hope that in the future I can help kids to develop their language and be able to†¦show more content†¦Another thing I noticed is how the leaders of the club had a nurturance and connection with the children where I would ask the kids do you like your leaders and they would all respond â€Å"Yes, I consider them as my mo m and dad.† Concluding with this answer I would think that this organization helps relieve children stressors and helps them identify themselves. For example, they help them with identify their gender role, help them to make right health choices to decrease obesity and also help them with their education. One of the things I saw was that in one of the honors which is an activity or topic that they learn about and they get to receive a badge at the end. They helped children to know how there are many different plants in the world and how there are some that we can eat and how they are good for us. After they were done discussing the importance of plants they went outside and planted different types of plants for the children to take care of. Another event that I attended and I thought it was very helpful was when they went out during January and gave the homeless food. The children went out and gave a lunch bag to the one who were in need and they would also invite them to the park later on where they were going to be serving dinner to the ones who needed it.
